SL/R129: I am back in action

I am back in action
It has been a long time since my last post. About 3 months ago the man upstairs(GOD) dealt me at age 76 another bad hand. After having beaten cancer of the lungs(93) cancer of the lower intestine(98) and a stroke(05) He decided to test me again this time with cancer of the esophagus. I spent 2 months at the Mayo Clinic in MN. where they performed a very drastic procedure to save my life and they were succesful. They completely resected the esophagus and elongated the stomach to take its place, thus leaving no mechanism to assist with with swallowing. Now food must fall by gravity.
Needless to say I am going thru re-learning even the most basic things such as chewing, swallowing, eating smaller portions, more frequent meals and a host of other re-hab programs. I lost a lot of weight but right now it has been holding steady. It will be another six months at least before I can get back to a somewhat normal lifestyle.
When all this happened I was in Florida and that is where my 129 is sitting in the garage. Presently I am in my house in Georgia recouping. I expect to be able to rescue my baby soon and start using it. I miss that car trememendously, such Love.

Hi Joe, I'm really sorry to hear your having those problems. It sounds like the big man is giving you a hard time. I hope you get well soon.
