New Member w/questions
Hello, this is my first post on this forum and i have some questions.
I have a 1993 600 SL. I just ordered the 18" staggerd AMG 5 spoke wheels like the one on the sport model. Where can i get the newer clear turn singnal lens and the new tail light lens?? thanks

Try www.ebay.com. This an auction forum for anything from A-Z. I found mine there. But be carefull and ask that they are brand named (like HELLA or BOSCH or Mercedes), and not coming from a 3rd class garage manufacturer. Those mostly look good, but dont fit very well in the car body.

1993 sl 600 mb
hi ,my first post. have a 93 sl600. think i need new main engine harness. shop afraid to fix shaky throttle due to mini cracks in harness. also need new front bumper[all broken up from parking slabs]. thanks to one n all if you have any helpful ideas

Well, you're in the right era for a bad wiring harness. If cracks are visible in the insulation, then the harness probably needs to be replaced. This is fairly common for MB's in the early- to mid-90's. If you getting strange engine problems, replacing the harness is the first place I would start. I had a '94 S320 that the harness had to be replaced to solve a strange idle problem.
As for the front bumpber, welcome to the world of R129 SL600's. The front end is far out there and low, that virtually all of us crack the bumper at one time or another. You can patch it up only so many times. Ultimately, the bumper will have to be replaced.

Try "topnotchautoparts.com" in Chicago area.
A new Mercedes cover is $1500 +. Couldn't believe it weighed a whopping 12 pounds. Top Notch supplied one to me for quite a bit less. Worked out quite well. Part was genuine M-B part number.
