The amplifier on my 1992 SL500 has gone out. My local dealer has informed me that the part is no longer available from Mercedes.

Can anyone tell me where I may find an amplifier or what the manufacturer of the original amplifier was. The best guess I have been given is Alpine.
My thought is that I can at least contact them and see what they recommend as a replacement.

I was talking to a "competition" sound guy last week and he told me they are Alpines. I have no idea if he is correct.
