door panel removal

how do you remove the panel that covers the door speakers? I want to switch the speakers and need to get this off.

On my 2000 the lower panel is easily removeable. So simply you remove a phillips screw on the rear underside of the panel and then slide it forward to disengage the plastic clips. The upper panel is part of the main door panel and cannot be removed separately. To remove the panel you remove the triangular chrome trim at the rear of the door, remove the triangular trim at the front (simply pull off). There are three screws that hold the panel on. Two are in the storage bin with one hidden behind a plastic cover. The third is hidden behind the "SRS" badge on the door panel. The rest of the door is held on by the usual snap clips that are typcially used. Use a putty knife to gently pull the door panel away from the sheet metal. That's it.
