Okay, if you aren't depressed enough about the weak market and low prices for these wonderful cars, you need to check this out (or maybe you want a super deal?).

A 2002 Silver Arrow, for about $35,000 -- last year when I was shopping for these, I could not find one for under $50,000.

What really is kind of depressing is that kelly blue book (kkb.com) values this car at $53,000 retail and $37,000 trade in.

So, for all you (un)lucky folks who are thinking about getting rid of your R129's -- be prepared to take a hit and face the problems that blahzayblah described when he was trying to sell his.

On the other hand . . . I LOVE my baby and won't get rid of her for many years, if ever (only lack of garage space MIGHT make me consider it in the future).

it just isnt worth selling one once you have one. I might even buy another at these prices, and use one of em for spares!

If the price drops far enough I'll get one to leave the top on, one off.

Yes, I have just "inherited" my father's '91 500SL due to his lack of garage space. I was diging through the books and found the original window sticker, $99k in 1991!!!!!!! We all know what it's worth now, 15 years and 100k later. Shhhhh don't tell anyone...
