Hardtop (maybe a panoramic one) wanted, available from Europe if possible
I've my eye on a good low mileage 98-99 SL. It doesn't have a hard top and if I could source one, (Id need one here. No garage, plus security etc) at a reasonable cost it would be great.
There is one on ebay but its too expensive. It's my first post here, just joined etc, so I'm hoping all you experts can help me.
I'm based in Ireland hence the request for one in Europe.

Believe that you can get a plain hard top from Ebay in the region of about 600 euros (+shipping).. Is the 'expensive' one you mentioned a panorama glass top? These things go for maybe abt 3,000 euros..
Anyhow, when tracing one, you'll have to also consider that the wire which connects the car with the hard top's rear window heating is always by the driver's side / seat. Therefore (being based in Ireland) you might be looking at a slight modification if you get a hard top from a left hand drive car..

Peter, thanks for your input.. My R129 was LHD so I did not have a personal experience, however 'TELEVISION' - a.k.a. Malcolm (ex R129 owner who is residing in the U.K.) posted following..
