Road Trip to Cuyamaca
An Indian Summer heat wave came to San Diego, so my wife and I took a road trip to the local mountains to visit Lake Cuyamaca and Julian. Temps reached 93 degrees F on the way through Ramona - isn't global warming great?!? The evenings are getting cool though, resulting in some beautiful fall color - at least for SoCal.
We stopped by Dudley's Bakery in Santa Ysabel and enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells of all the good food. Julian was so crowded we couldn't even find a parking place, so we contined on to Cuyamaca.
I was surprised at how much damage was still visible from the Cedar Fire of 2003. Many burned and blackened trees. And when we ate lunch at the Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant, we could see lots on the hill with nothing but a chimney standing.
We reversed course and headed home. Julian was still crowded but the horse-drawn carriages were operating. We stopped by a vista point that provided views all the way to the desert in Borrego Springs.
What a great weekend here in San Diego. Just right for a trip in the SL500.
Hey! Why can't I post attachments???

Maxed Out on Attachments?
I wanted to post some photos of our road trip to Cuyamaca and Julian, but I see I am no longer allowed to post photos. Have I reached my max storage?

Ah! I Read the Annoucement
Sorry for the questions about image upload. I finally saw the annoucement stating the image upload feature was disabled pending a move to new hardware.
The annoucement was dated early September. Any word on when the move will be completed and image upload re-enabled?
