SL600 v. M3:

Enjoy!
Correct me if I'm wrong but the last hash mark on the speedometer of an SL600 would be the 160MPH mark; therefore the second last hashmark would be 140MPH. If that that is true I don't think the driver even make 140MPH in that first video.
As for the second video. Technically speaking isn't the v12 supposed at least beat out the V6 based on physics and theory alone???? Makes you wonder why you'd by the SL600 (from a performance standpoint) when you can have a V6 that's about the same.

I have a 98 jag xk8 and i hung with a 04 545i all the way to all and then i beat it..
Nice videos. I guess the SL goes like "****".
You have to remember the SL is a completely different car than the M3.
....when he racing the M3...... A good start he should have a little wheel spin.........

A buddy of mine just purchased a 2007 BMW 335. It has about 300 h.p. My 2001 SL 500 has about 300 h.p. I have V8; he has inline six.
R129 weighs about 800 pounds more, I think. He has paddle shifters. He goes to 60 about a second faster.
I am think that SL 600 could weigh close to 1000 pounds more than 2005 M3. At least 500 pounds. I think the SL had a four speed automatic. M3 I think had 6 speed manual (???).
Anyways -- you can never just look at engine size to determine who is faster.

I was hoping for an ignorant explanation from chixdiggit however.
