Thumbs up SL Aerial upgrade

Does anyone know or have tried to replace the electric aerial on R129 type with the small pointy aerial on the R230 type ?

Follow this thread. Looks like there's some good news and some not so good news.

It is a nice look, however.

Oh oh.....post the part number of that wonderful little antenna and I'll do it this weekend. Been wanting to do this but haven't had the time to stop at MB to search the P/N and then order it.

Thanks.

The 230 stub has a smaller foot than the original 129 aerial. It will not fit in the existing hole.
You will have to plate the panel and re-drill a hole for the 230 stub. Note: be very careful where you place it on the panel - too low and it will not be perpendicular.
You will also need the amplifier for this stub.
The stub only comes in the 230 colour range, so unless you have a colour that was continued on the 230 range, you will have to paint it.
