'93 600SL - Vents sound like they're stuck
My A/C blows fine out of the top and floor vents..but the center console vents sound like they're getting stuck. The last few times I could sent the air back and forth until they'd come out. Yesterday only the left driver's side one came out and blew hard (obviously since the others wouldn't open).
What's the issue here?

The thumbwheel control unit may not be signaling the pushbutton control unit to open the center vents you can check that quickly by running diagnostics. Another possibility is the solenoid valve block that switches vacuum to the vent actuators is faulty or there is a vacuum leak. You would check that with a vacuum test gauge that you can buy for about $30 or borrow from an Autozone store.
If you send me an email I can reply back with a diagnostic manual that will show how to run diagnostics on the climate control.
