My '93 500SL has hemmorhaged a wide circle of tranny oil.
I havent driven her for about 4 week and check on her on a daily basis. Today I noticed a strange dark patch underneath the car, thought it was bad lighting or a strange shadow. When I took a peek it was oil, alot of oil !!! My heart dropped![Tear](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tear.gif)
Is it possible for the car to leak that much oil so quick? Could a worn gasket be the reason??
Will I be able to drive it to the stealership, which is about 20 minutes away?
Where can I check the level of the tranny fluid? I am a newb
to MB engines.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would advise against starting it up let alone driving it anywhere. I would have it towed to the dealership or your favorite import repair shop. It could be as simple as a rusted trans cooling line. But driving it would certainly guarantee major problems.
Good Luck and hope you have it on the road soon
