'92 SL500 cold start problem

i have a '92 SL500. when it's cold it runs rough and when i step on the gas it dies. after it's warmed up it's ok. i've replaced plugs, wires, all vacuum hoses, temp sensor, air intake boot, idle regulator. i'm about to pull out what little hair i have left. any ideas.
i also have a problem with the roll bar. when making a sharp turn it goes up. ???

Well lets start with the easy stuff first.
The roll bar goes up because there are sensors on the rear A-arms to detect when they are fully extended indicating a roll-over situation. If the roll bar is going up around turns, then the switches/sensors are out of adjustment. You can see the switches when you crawl under the rear of the car. You may also be able to adjust them yourself.

The problem you are having with the engine sound a lot like a vacuum problem. I had a similar issue myself. There is a test you can try to see if you do still have a vacuum leak. While the engine is running spray either starting fluid or carb cleaner around the intake and boot. If the engine rpm changes, usually it will rev up, then you still have a leak. While doing the test you will want make sure that your results are accurate by avoiding spraying directly into the air cleaner or throttle body. Check the area around where the intake bolts to the block. Any change in rpm indicates a leak. Let me know how it goes.

Good Luck and Happy Motoring
