IS THIS DOABLE ? ? ? Assistance Greatly Appreciated

TO CHANGE OUT THE 95 SL600 4SPEED WITH A 96 OR NEWER SL600 5SPD AUTO TRANSMISSION. Trying to verify if the transmission would bolt right up or would there be much more to it than that? Or if this isn't doable, would a 92-95 SL500 transmission be the same one's used on the 92-95 SL600's or is there a difference. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

it's not worth it. you would probably have to change the rear diff at the very least (as red mongoose said) but you would almost certainly have to change out the TCU, probably ECU, and possibly even the fuel injection system as that is controlled by the ECU, and changed about the time MB went from 4 to 5 speed. also If I remember correctly, Mercedes changed most of the wiring in the car from 95 to 96 because of OBD I to OBD II switch over in 1996. Im not sure of all the differences, but it's best just to put in what came out.
