FOR PICS AND VIDEOS AND TO BID, SEE:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=170196868844

Relisted due to deadbeat bidder (last sale price $6000 without rims). Guy jerked me around for a month promising to pay.

Im asking for more $$$ on ebay, but will take a $6000 cash offer if you get it before this weekend. Rims are listed for sale here (with pics):

It is CLEAR TITLE and cosmetic damage only, you can drive this to the SoCal meet, maybe meet some folks who can help you get the parts you need to fix it?

Its ideal for a bodyman or someone who can swap out the hood fenders doors and trunk from another SL, repaint etc.

63k miles, get a SL600 as a great low priced daily driver. It would not be cost effective to make it perfect inside and out, or to have the work done yourself at retail shop prices if you are not in the autobody business or handy with bodywork yourself or through friends. All the damage is cosmetic. NOT mechanical. They did not get into the engine compartment, trunk, etc. The softop was stowed while the car was vandalized, so that wasnt touched. It would also be an excellent parts car for anyone who needs mechanical parts, as its low mileage (63,400)

My idea if I was to keep it, was just leave it as is , debadge it and race it or drift it. TO show there is no mechanical damage, I took some videos of it:

Has all books and records. And anyone is more than welcome to come see it in person. It is near San Francisco. If there is a more appropriate place to advertise this car in this forum, kindly let me know. I would like to find a legitimate buyer (so many deadbeats and time wasters on ebay) and preferably a Mercedes enthusiast who appreciates these cars.

You can reach me through ebay or by emailing me at cutlass@gmail.com

Lol, I emailed you through ebay about that car, asking for the center console wood trim since mine has a hairline crack in it.

I am glad you lowered your price, but I think you need to bring it down even more if you insist on selling it as a complete unit. I think it might sell in the $4k-$6k range as a parts car. You were originally asking $12,800.00, which I thought was completely insane. That car is worth maybe $25k tops in A-1 perfect condition, and now it needs probably $20k in repairs, yet you were only giving a $10k-$12k discount.

I think your best bet is to sell it directly to a parts wholesaler. I don't think any private person is going to be interested in buying that car to fix it, since it will never make financial sense to go through all that hassle just to end up having ultimately paid full price or more for the vehicle.

Sweet deal at $6K for someone who owns a body shop or has patience in searching for parts. Shame I didn't come across this car when I was shopping for an SL a few years back. Would have spent the difference on a ton of cosmetic and performance goodies. I still crave that 1st Gen AMG bodykit for the R129...

Ya, those kits are nice. But even if you owned a shop, I still can't see how you would come out ahead on this one financially, unless you just wanted it for parts. It needs all new fenders, doors, trunk, top, etc. etc. ad nauseum. That stuff will add up FAST. I guess you could make it a bondo-special, but that kinda defeats the point in the first place...
