SL/R129: Help with my "V7 SL437.5"
Thing is, I took it in to talk to an ex-car engineer, and he said that if I wanted to, I could just drive it around like that, and I can't really do any further damage to it. The car runs, surprisingly, quite smooth for a "7 cylinder" and I'm thinking about just leaving it alone.
On the other hand, if the piston can be removed from the bottom of the car, the new ring (valves are good), can probably be just a 1,000 dollar job, or close to that.
SO, after my sob story, the question is, does anybody know how easy it is to pull the piston from the bottom of the car? Thanks, --CHRIS
