sl 500
Chris, I have a 2002 SL 500 Silver Arrow that I would like to sell. I am the second owner of the car, and purchased it from MB Laguna Niguel in 2005. The car currently has 44, 750 miles on it.

Chris, I've been looking at these too. Generally mid teens to mid twenty's depending upon mileage and condition for the 500s. The 600s are a totally different animal -- good luck with that. As you may know, there were only 100 made. Of the 1500 Silver Arrows, only 100 were 600s, and many of them went to the Middle East. I'll try to track down the article I was reading that chronicled the production and delivery numbers so you don't have to take my word for it.

All that said, I have a friend who has an SL500 Silver Arrow to sell. His car isn't up to my standards, but if you want a bit of a restoration project (small project -- I give the car a 7 out of 10), I can direct you to him. He also said he recently saw a 600 go for over $40k on eBay. I trust him -- he has over 15 cars, probably 10 of which are CLs, SLs, Ss and AMG's, the remainder BMW Ms. I was with him today and actually took the 500 Silver Arrow for a test drive to see if I wanted to buy it. Strong car. Interior's in good condition, will clean up well, no major rips, gashes or cracks. California car purchased in Oregon. Someone obviously cared for the car. I didn't realize the 500 motors of that era felt so much different. Pano roof. Like I said, 7 out of 10.

Happy hunting.
