Blower fan not working ? Help please.

Hi,

First of all, sorry for my poor english
1991 300SL-24

This (very hot) morning, i started the car and drove to work as alway, but i realised some Km later that my blower fan was not running, not in Auto position and not on manual position, not blowing cold or hot, in fact, i can feel the cold air at the...hmm..you know the stuff on the dash board where the air is supposed to blow :p i dont know how to name that sorry.... And i cant hear the blower at all (usualy i can)

So i opened the hood and checked the AC compressor and its working, i can see something looking like ice on the pipe. I also checked the fuze box in the engine but every fuze seems ok.

Anyone got any idea ? Is there another fuze box somewhere else ? what fuze number should i check for the blower fan ? (everything is in german language down there)

Thanks in advance and once again sorry for my poor english.

Hey Mate, Your english is fine. In fact better then mine and I'm American . Anyway, what you described is exactly what I am experiencing. Check out my thread. It has good information in it about this problem. It is more then likely the regulator or the fan blower.

Oh, And the things the air blows out of are vents.

Happy Trails.
