hello all, ive had my sl for 2 years now n love the car, but this year it has spent more time in the garage due to these problems. when i retract the soft-top, the windows go down then stops, even if get out and manualy open the rear latches then re-press the button again the latches lock back up rather than carrying on with the opening cycle[strange eh] ive read many of the posts on this site but nothing seams to match. ive dun the usual, read n deleted any fault codes, also held the button for 90 sec and it blinks 6 and 7 times? i do hope someone can help, thanks dave....

Those codes show that the controller is switching its output to unlock the rear bow but isn't getting feedback from the latches that is has released.
How is the system hydraulic pressure? If you unlock the bow, raise it vertically, operate the switch, and the top closes normally, then it is probably fine. If it is not, then I suggest checking to be sure there is adequate hydraulic fluid in the pump reservoir under the spare tire.

ok there is lots of pressure,as everything els seems to run at the correct speed, even the front latches lock down fine, the thing is, i keep thinking maybe its a faulty valve block, stuck in the close position? but hey ( wot one ? ) as it seems strange the windows go down correctly and it goes onto the next stage but tryin to close rather than open?.if i get out and manualy release the rear latches to the hood compartment ,then pull the roof button they just lock back up again, but if i release the latches lift the hood compartment up then pull the roof button, it works fine. also no problem at all with closing the soft-top (strange eh) ?
thanks for taking the time to help, but a real puzzle this one
