Looking to purchase my first SL - 1997 SL500 Sport
I am looking to purchase my first SL. My only requirements are the model year ('97, '98), color (black), under 100k and sport package.
There is a 1997 model I can scoop up for $11,500. The car has 77,775 miles and is very clean. Here are a couple photos:
What do i need to look out for? Also, is it priced right? Can i do better based on what I am looking for?

With service records and clean PPI the price appears very reasonable based on the model year, mileage and the picture shown. Just check the convertible top mechanisms thoroughly.

SL 500 Roadster
The car looks great and the price is right.. I bought a 98 model but I'm having problems with the hard top release. I need advice from someone on how to reset the computer/ reconfigure the system to make the top release when pulling back on the release button. Otherwise, your future purchase look wonderful.. Have fun!!!!!!!!!

Same advise I gave you on the other forum, The car looks really good, I would find 1 with xenon headlights cause the US spec lights SUCK!!!!!!!!!And the cost to convert is OUT OF SIGHT!!!!!!!! Have it checked out, and, if all is good, BUY IT!!!!!!

I'm not sure what happened to this guy but this car is still for sale. I haven't looked at it yet but i plan to next weekend. It's about a 4hr drive for me. I won't say for sure until i see it in person but i'll probably be pulling the trigger.
