Fuel Tank Pressure - Check Engine Light
1997 SL 320 - We got a CEL, took it to our mechanic - diagnostics indicated something about the fuel tank pressure. The tank is pressurized. They blew smoke into the system, and ended up replacing the Pressure Relief Valve, under the hood, left front. After about three days, CEL again !!! This time, they couldn't find anything - they put a new gasket on the fuel tank cap. Again, after a few days, CEL.
There's obviously a slow leak somewhere. The pressure is probably controlled by a pressure switch - does anybody know where it is ??? I have a diagnostic code reader being shipped, so I can read for myself, and reset the CEL.
Any ideas ???
I need to know where the pressure measurement device is... someone ???
