Hey Guys,

Sorry for being such an infrequent poster, and for posting another feeler thread, but I feel this is an unusual enough car to warrant it. There's a slightly long story behind it to so sorry in advance:

I am working for a large car company at the moment, out of a car dealership that sells luxury cars, but not MB. My boss formerly worked in MB corporate and knows me to be a lifelong MB enthusiast, so came to me when he took the car in trade. I am 24 years old and commute 100 miles/day, so I know it is not a great idea for me to get it for myself, but the car is just too clean to pass up, so I think I may split it with my dad, let him drive it instead of his 01 SL320, to see which he prefers, or pass the car along to an enthusiast if there is interest in the car for a fair amount of money. Now on to the car...

You are all familiar with the Silver Arrow cars already, so I will spare you the basics. It has 57k miles, CA car, loaded with all options including the panoramic roof. It has the black interior with silver lining on the leather perforations. There cannot be more than a handful of cars that fit this description, you all know more than I, but I am guessing the number of SL600 S.A. pano's in the USA that have good histories to be maybe 15? Maybe fewer? I can likely even get an extended warranty for it for a little more peace of mind with the 600 motor and that sophisticated ($) suspension.

My parents like the idea of the car because of the pano roof. We already have a 97 SL500, the SLK, and a handful of other Mercedes.

Please PM me for more info and I will do my best to follow this thread. I am not sure how strong the market is at the moment. As far as comparisons go, on Autotrader there seem to be some S.A. 500's with relatively low miles floating around the 20-25k mark and that super nice 600 for 60k, which seems like it will be sitting a while at that price. Here is the picture of that car for reference because this one is the same spec:

What do you all think a good price to list the car would be? 30-40k? Thanks for the help, and I hope this car finds the right home. Truly one of the great modern Benzes.

I would start at 30k. You will be lucky to get around 25-28 (mostly due to the miles)..unless the 'right' buyer comes along.

Check the VIN to see if it has the "AMG sport - rear wheel well widening." I think your car would, that or someone may have swapped on staggard wheels without thinking it fully through.

That car is the only SA I have seen with no V12 side badges. (That or the other 3 SL600 SA I saw all had them added afterwards.)

Does your car have V12 side badges?
