the problem turned out to be bad coils and distributor.Had all replaced at 800.00.Not cheap, but better than I expected after seeing smoke. Now I'm starting to get hesitation problems when taking off and the idle has a slight miss. Will get this checked asap.

Have you run the on-board diagnostics via the Climate Control Unit to see what your system is doing?

By the way, you may want to start a new thread with a title/subject different than 'HELP', like 'AC on but runs hot air'? or something along those lines.
