My 91 500SL sometimes sputters and misses but clears up after a little driving, just had new distributors installed, any comments on this issue?

The cold misfire issue seems to happen to a number of cars, but I have yet to find anyone mention what fixes it. So far on my car I have tried:
Computer/ECM
Wires (3 times)
Cap (3 times)
Rotor (3 times)
Plugs (4 times)
Crank Reference Sensor
Fuel Filter
Ignition Module
Coil

Hoping to find it soon and post the results. Looking like a wiring issue or something to do with the flywheel flexplate itself (where the Crank position sensor gets its signal).

Regards,
Rod
