SL/R129: 92 sl 500 top question

92 sl 500 top question
My top on my 92 sl closes fine but when I go to put it up it goes half way and then stops after i wiggle the switch a little it then goes up and locks with no problem.This just started, could it be a bad switch or something more. No leaking cylinders. Thanks jimbo
