SL/R129: New to the SL world.

New to the SL world.
I had a buddy that had one years ago and I really liked it. So last week when one came up, I jumped. I'm a BMW guy for 20 years so this will me a change. I hope a good one. Its a 91 with 150k both tops and is a rose color with tan int. Not my first choice but it sold the wife and the price was right. It needs new wheels for sure. it has 91 or 81 three star wheels 16s. I will find some AMG 18s for it. other than that no plans to mod. but you never know. any thing I should watch out for? any mods or upgrade I should do. and can any thing be done about the seats not going back for the 6'2 crowd?

There is no point modding a 20 year old car (especially it has 150K miles). Drive it as it is. I'd agree about changing the wheels tho.
Convertible top is number 1 issue with this car but if it works, don't do anything. If something breaks, there are tons of information on this forum and the benzworld forum. I've owned 2 SLs (R129) in the last 14+ years! Much easier/faster to wash than any car I've ever had! :-)
