SL/R129: hardtop for 95 SL320

hardtop for 95 SL320
New owner looking for help. Can anyone tell me if a hardtop from a 97' SL600 will fit my 95' SEL320??? I am told yes but want a second opinion. Would really appreciate knowing for sure.

I believe, based on my conversation with my brother in law, some changes to the hardtop configuration were made from 1995 and beyond.
So yes I believe you can properly install the hardtop. The system will tell you if the process did not complete, in case you run into difficulties, the red light that activates the hardtop mechanism will flash if the entire process did not complete. The car will also create a beeping sound if you are driving the car the mechanism not properly closed, or opened.

Thank you for the investigation and the reply. I am a new owner and not many folks to ask here. Finally found a top only a 5 hr drive away. I am East coast transplant living in East Tx and hardtop is in Baton Rouge. Will pick up in a couple of weeks.

Automatic windows
Hi! I hope that your hardtop fits good, but with my experience with a '97 Glass roof, you must take care if yhe '97 model that has this roof has the auto up/down movement of the windows when you open/close the doors, cause if it has it, you have a problem with the rubber that seals the windows, that has a reverse "U" form that your car can't admit if you don't make the windows movement manually. And if you have this problem you must change this rubber, that costs like if it's gold, not rubber!!
