Help!!!Disconnected Battery Now Radio says Code???
I disconnected the battery and not the stereo is flashing code. I dont have the cards that tell me the code. And I really dont feel like waiting until the dealership opens on Monday to fix it. Anyone have suggestions?? Is their a Universal code on the 1997 SL500?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Dave, Can you tell me what could be wrong when my top unlocked/locked and softtop worked fine, then battery went dead overnight, and when I jumpstarted the car the top-button and roll-bar button stay lit(red) and they don't work. I moved nothing related to top. Should I re-set something? Please e.mail your answer to me : Hesam1 AT aol DOT COM. Thanks

I had the same radio-code problem so called the dealer's service department, gave them the VIN# and owner's name and they quickly gave me the code.
I entered the number using 1-2-3-4-5 numbers under the radio then pushed the center button to the right of 5 and Boom, it started working
Just in case, the windows also stop rolling up/down slightly when you open/close, after battery disconnects. To re-program that close the door, pull window up but when it reached the top hold the button 2 sec longer and then windows starts the auto-down/auto-up when you open the door.
