How do you take the plastic cover off of the steering column? The cover for the turn signals and cruise? Thank you

Now it is I wiggled the piece loose and guess what there is a lot of electrical tape in there(harness) goes all over when u do it that way, oopps. There are acess screw hole on the front plate remove those and u wont have to deal with that. It works great and so does the cruise however the srs light is on continously, any ideas

LL, you lost me with your reply about the collar where the combi switch(turn signal stalk) is mounted through. When the collar on my car was loose, i.e. move when I used the turn signals, the fix involved removing the steering wheel to get to the 3 mounting screws that hold the collar in place. The plate and screw hole you refer to isn't on my car, so I don't understand what you mean when you say, 'remove those and u wont have to deal with that'.

My guesses on the SRS light are 1) Someone disconnected the power to the warning chime that is supposed to ring to remind you to buckle up, creating an open cirquit and warning light and/or 2) a fuse.

Would you complete your profile w/your location?
