2001 SL500, '09 Murano, '04 Honda
'01 SL500: Fuel Sending Unit
The dealership wants $1,800 to replace the Fuel Sending unit in my '01 sl500. The gast tank only reads 3/4 when its completely full and I am being told it's becuase the fuel sending unit is not operating properly and in tht '01 model it is located in the fuel tank itself. Anybody care to shed some light on this nightmare for me? Am i being taken to the cleaners?

I beleive I have a similar issue (gas gauge only registers 3/4 full when I fill up) in my 02 s430.
Were you able to find out how to replace the unit yourself?
