ASR & ABS Lights are ON
It's a 96 SL320... out of the blue both the ASR and ABS lights came on...
They will be off upon initial start up but then after a couple of revolutions they come back on...
I've been driving it like this for a while now and thinking I need to get to the bottom of it...
I can't seem to find an OBD II connector in the car to see what's going on there...
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

OBD II connector is in driver's foot well, above where your right leg will be - about in line with the accelerator pedal. It is behind a black plastic door that flips open.

Great... thankyou... I'll be checking it out... makes me think I have a wheel sensor mal function at one of the rear wheels...
At times the lights will be off for a short period of time then... hit a bump and they both come on...
thank you

If your speedometer stops working when the ABS/ASR lights come on, then it is probably the left front vehicle speed sensor that is the problem. Either way, I would pull the left front VSS and clean it. It is merely a magnet and collects metal shavings that impede its ability to function properly.
Also, pay attention to if the ABS/ASR lights come on when you first touch the brake. If so, then it might be the stop lamp switch.
But, as always, pull the codes.
