SL/R129: shaky engine in R129 - 99SL500

1999 SL500
shaky engine in R129 - 99SL500
I was told by the dealer that a slightly shaky engine is normal on R129. My is a 99SL500. Do people in this forum see this this is normal? It shakes when engine is warm not when it is cold.

No, it should be absolutely still at a warm stop. I had this happen just last month on my SL and it turned out to be a loose pulley somewhere in the engine compartment. I took it in for a 'B' service and it showed up during the quality inspection--I didn't even remember to mention it during my service visit.
