Soft Top Problems Need Help Asap! Please
My Top Didnt Work For About Two Days Then I Tapped On The Hydraulic Pump Then It Started Working For About 3 days then Zip Again I Hear The Motor Working...But Nothings Latching...And My Roll Bar Is Stuck Up Is There Any Boyd Out There That Can Help Me How Do I ReseT The RollBar Maybe I Need Appinions

1997 SLR 500
Greetings all.
I have a 1997 SLR500 with 37,000 km; my problem is vibration of steering wheel and seat at 125 km/hr. The tires are new and have been balanced by the MB dealer.
Any thoughts?

Vince, the topic here was the soft top problems, not tire balancing. That said, either the dealer did the balancing incorrectly, you threw a weight, rough road surface, etc. Your remedy is back to the dealer. If the dealer is using a Hunter 9700 Balancer, you want them to 'Road Force' balance the tires.

Faulty soft top pump maybe? Sounds like the exact same thing mine is in repair for right now. You should be able to get the roll bar down if you turn off the car - back on - and try only the roll bar button before doing anything else. You should also be able to put the roof back on. When it stops just try manually by hand and when it meets the locks try the button again. Repeat until its fully on and get a new hydraullic pump for the soft top.

1992 300SL
soft top will not operate
My 92 300SL was in storage and would not start. Had it towed to my longtime independent MB mechanic and he installed new starter and battery. Went to pick up an the top would not go down. He stated he had it operating on the test drive and is now stumped. Left it there and he could not get it to work. Light goes red but no noise, movement etc. any thoughts? He does not have a square plug code reader.
