Bad temp control LED ?

The temperature control LED display on my 2000 SL500 seems to go bad with extreme temps. If I press my finger on the LED display the characters come in OK. Has anyone else had this problem ?

I had the problem this past winter. It didn't really seem to affect anything so I just left it alone. It would only happen about twice a month so most of the time I didn't even think about it.

That unit was eventually replaced to help with another problem so I guess it took care of that too.

Thanks ...

Thanks for your reply. I'll ask the dealer to take care of it the next time the car is in for service (covered by the warranty I hope). I was just wondering if this is a common issue or if the dealer will think I am crazy. I have no doubt that the day that I bring it in the display will be working fine.
