Not doing sef-install

Went to a very good trim shop in Stuart,FL this morning. Got quote of $788 for GAHH MB-Tex (same as on their website) and 6 hours labor at $95.00. The time quoted is the same as an answer I got from an online cover maker. I asked about the MB-Tex and the trim shop owner recommended it highly. Lasts much longer with much less maintenance than the leather. Scheduled for install Aug 31. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Good luck with the new seatcovers, Jimmy. My '99 could also use new covers in Java and I'm also considering MB Tex instead of leather. When yours are finished, post pictures of how they turn out.

New Seat Covers installed

A couple days after I ordered the MB-Tex seat covers, the trim shop called and said the supplier had called them. They had just had a set of Java seats with the little holes in the seating area, exactly what I had ordered, except these were leather, returned. They offered them to me for the same price as they quoted for the MB-Tex. I just could not turn that down. They are, of course, beautiful and they sure smell good. I called Leatherique and they suggested I put a small amount of their Rejuvinator on every three months. I will order that shortly. Anyway, a very good week. Except for the front bumper-see SL500 Bumper post

Score 1 for the good guys! With that kind of luck, I hope you bought a lottery ticket too.
