18" tires and wheels questions

I have a set of Brabus monoblockV 2pc rims in size 18" X 8.5 being sold to me at a very good price. However the offset is about ET35, that means I will probably have to use 10 or 15mm H&R hubcentric spacers to make them fit my SL. Anybody tried this before? Should I go for the 10 or 15mm spacers? Maybe 10mm in front and 15mm at the bacK?

What tire size should I use? I plan to go 245/40 all around.

Thanks.

I put the OEM wheels from a 2003 SL55 on my 2000 SL600. To avoid the offset from the SL55 wheels casuing the wheels to be tucked in, I used 5mm H&K spacers in the front and 10mm spacers in the rear. Looks amazing. I think if you go with the 15mm spacers it may look a little too American muscle car-ish.
