I have a 2001 SL500 (R129). When moving the steering wheel up or down and closer to me the warning lights come on and stay on until I return the steering wheel to the original position and turn the car off. After restarting the car, with the steering wheel in the original position, the warning lights stay off. Why do they come on when I am adjusting the steering wheel? Everything works.....it's just annoying more than anything. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
