Hello everybody,
Please could somebody assist with fault diagnosis on the sl280. year 2000 model.
Firstly this car had a intermitent throtle responce fault which occured after a long run resulting in no or delayed responce when pushing the gas pedal. This usualy cleared itself on restarting the engine and everything was fine for a while.
So we plugged it into diagnostics which threw up a P1542 code, PPS, so ordered and fitted new pedal position sensor and cleared faults but car runs worse than ever , but shows no codes or engine check light. I have checked fuel filter and all seems ok, the throtle body seems to be responding to pedal movement so I think thats ok.
Car starts fine but will show little or no responce to throtle pedal so can't be driven. I am on the point of putting into MB dealers so any comments would be apreciated. THanks.

For future reference , all symptoms down to faulty MAF, new one fitted and all is well.
