SL/R129: Comments on my first mods?

Comments on my first mods?
I have enjoyed my 2000 SL500 sport and am ready to purchase some basic mods, primarily for engine protection, a little more mid-range torque performance, and more pleasing exhaust sounds. I appreciate any suggestions on the following "package":
1. Carbon intake box and new gauze or oil air filter.
2. Powerchip 91/93.
3. More efficient oil filter.
4. More throaty/gurgling exhaust system/muffler/pipe.
I have no idea where to buy a carbon box and filters, nor the exhaust muffler/system. I live in the SF south bay area of California.

Without wishing to rain on your parade, I wouldn't bother. No idea how much this lot would cost but it's just not worth trying to dress up a 129 to make it look/sound like a sports car. It's a comfortable, well engineered convertible GT but a sports car it is not. People who put add on bits are destroying their (already declining) re-sale value. Save your money and put it towards the deposit on a new SL in a couple of years.

well I disagree, now adays ppl don't have the cash they used too so spending 1k vs 90k is a big diff. I've done mine and pretty much everytime I take it out, I get complements on it and it feels great, and 129's are gonna be classic...they'll be around for a long time...
