1994 sl320 brake pad light on.
When I bought this 94 sl320 the brake pad light was on so I assumed the pads needed replacing, when I removed the wheels I found new rotors and pads. I visually inspected the sensors and they looked ok. unplugged and checked for broken wires or other visual damage, found none. Question is how do I check the sensors and do I have to take to a MB dealer to get the light reset? In reading other threads it seems the later models have one sensor with two wires. the 94 has two single wire sensors on each wheel I assume when the sensors rub the pad this makes the circuit complete and turns the light on. I have disconnected the negative battery lead and left overnight, this did not turn the light off. any suggestions would be appreciated. this car does not have rear wheel sensors.

Problem solved
Bought four new sensors and started to replace all. first sensor I replaced and checked light was off. scraped insulation off the sensor probe and checked with ohm meter. the wire was broken inside the insulation with no visual damage. Decided to replace the other sensors just in case. Did find out that the light does not have to be reset.
