Convertable top cables
Hi fellas,
I have a 1993 R129 that I am replacing the canvas top but I require a set of roof cables for it can anyone advise me where I can purchase a set of roof cables and the price ?

Re the cables; if you have the existing cables that were in the top, the most important pieces are the end fittings. You can remove the fittings, take the cable to a local to you cable supplier and buy new cables cut to length and re-crimp the fittings to the ends, and your done. I did this exact thing when replacing the top on my 107. 5 years later they are as taught as the day I installed them. This is the quickest and cheapest solution.
If you don't have the existing cables, a local top installer may be able to help you if familiar with 129's. Beyond that, you'll either have to buy from the MB dealer or a parts site like parts.com.
