I found a sensor that I believe to be the temp sending unit just dangling down on the left side of the front facia. Where does this plug in to the car? It looks like a black witch's hat and about an inch square.

J, there should be a small, circular opening in the lower section of the bumper that accepts the front half of the sensor. You insert the tip thru that hole, and if I am not mistaken, there was a stop at the other end to hold the piece.
