94 sl 500 fuel harness help PLEASE

I was checking out the wire harness on sl500 1994
I did have the throttlebody replaced ( wires were totaly bare)
While I was checking the fuel harness I checked the wires on the cam (drivers side behind the power steering resivior)When I pulled the wire cover back the wires came out of the plastic fitting : I am able to repair the plastic with epoxy but the question is it looks like the brown wire is on top but I am not sure.can someone please look or tell me? I see the passenger side brown wire is on the bottom

but I want to be sure. The wires are not cracked or worn all insulation looks good. I did open it in a few places to check and all other wires looks good I just want to be sure of the wires 100% before I epoxy them in place annd ruin a good harness

Can you upload a picture of the situation? Your description is a bit confusing and vague. If the problem is what I think your writing, epoxy isn't going to solve it! A picture is worth a thousand words.
Cheers,
Jeff

OK, good - wasn't what I thought it was. The easiest way to do this is to carefully remove the passenger side plug. The plastic plug housing will have a #1 and a #2 embossed on the housing. Carefully inspect which color wire corresponds to the particular embossed number on the passenger side. Both sides of the engine will have the identical wire color-plug number combination. So you will simply replicate on the driver's side, the same sequence as the passenger side. Whatever embossed number (1 or 2) on the passenger side that has the brown wire (ground) will be the same for the drivers side.
Cheers,
Jeff
