sl600 Kick down no output signal error code

I have a diagnostic code error read out from my diagnostic machine - "No Kick Down output signal". No other error code stored. The problem I noticed is that the car will be stalled and will drive only below 80 km/h when this occurred - I believe this is a designed limp mode speed. It will reset when engine is switched off and will normalised after restarting.

The car will drive normally for sometime until the engine stalled and slows down again. Wonder if this is associated with a hydraulic leak currently encountered on front left side of the dry cell.

Any help on the solutions would be very much appreciated. :-)
