What year was ESP introduced?
When was ESP incorporated into the SL500 systems?
I checked a short list of the year to year changes through the R129 model years ... and find no reference to ESP's origin.

ESP was introduced in 1995 (at least I think so) for the 500 and 600 models. The other models still had ASR but I think a defeat switch was installed. ESP became standard in 97 or 98.
