1998 Mercedes SL500 Sport
Remote Alarm issues
Recently I changed my car battery and remote batteries and for some reason my remote will lock and occasionally unlock the car but it never shuts the alarm off when unlocking via key or remote. As a matter of fact the only way I can shut the alarm off is to put the key in the trunk and lock then unlock the car. It will not work this way from the door, only the trunk. I have tried resetting the remote the way the owners manual says (pushing unlock or lock twice then putting the key in and turning to the second position) with no success. Any suggestions?
