Often times my 1992 MB 300SL will not fire up unless I turn key a number of times and eventually dashboard lights will all come on and engine starts. Getting going may take quite a few minutes.
Other times the engine starts on first turn of key.
Sometimes I turn Key to position 2 and wait for the dashboard lights to light up - this works sometimes.
Can anyone help me with this problem or suggest where the problem lies.
