SL/R129: Rough Idle

Rough Idle
I have a 1995 SL 500 that idles really rough. I have replaced the cam sensor and the crank shaft sensor since these are common culprits, but to no avail. Any suggestions as to where to look next?

Check the condition of the wiring harness, specifically the wire insulation. If it's badly cracked, any number of symptoms can occur. Your model year falls in the infamous wiring harness fiasco. I had a '94 S320 and a '94 SL500; both had to have the harness replaced. Do a search on the site and you'll come up to speed pretty quickly.
