Leaking top cylinder so I...
As a was on a back road, top down ride last night, I noticed the often heard "there's fluid leaking from my A piller". I took it home and this morning pulled off the top cover and saw a pool of hydraulic fluid. I pulled the 2 top cylinders out pretty easily and was about to box them off to send them to Top Hydraulics. Then I figured, it won't be long until I'm doing this again when another one leaks (I already think another is leaking, but can't find which one).
So, I started to remove them all. Eight hours later, I was done, they were boxed up and I was off to the post office. It wasn't too hard, just fiddley.
Clips that I dropped along the way, I ended up finding. The scariest part was prying out the Bose amp (it's puttied to the floor). I really thought I was going to put the pry bar through the plastic housing. If you have basic tools and know how to turn a wrench, I recommend doing it.
Here's a couple of pics of what my garage and the car looked like in the aftermath.
