SL/R129: Anyone else missing top down driving?

Anyone else missing top down driving?
Boy, Here in the surburbs of Phila. PA it's been a cold and wet winter. Sure wish the weather would be nicer. We haven't had a decent day for months. Can't wait to get the SL out for a drive with the top down. Anyone else feeling the same?

We might have slightly better weather patterns here in Vancouver ... but it has been very wet, cold and generally dull since late Nov/03.
It is really nice the past few days (just temporary) ... not worth the hassle of taking the panorama roof off to store it in the tiny condo storeage room. This is when the retractable hard top of the R230 would be excellent.
Will have to wait a few more weeks. The days are getting noticable longer now ... so it will be top down touring time again soon!
This will only be my second season of enjoying a convertable. I'm most definitly hooked on SLs!

Lots of ice here in St. Louis. My 95SL500 hasn't moved in a month. Don't really drive it much in the winters after the hardtop is installed. Guess that's why it only has 26K miles on it. And to think I put all-weather tires on it!

Did you buy it new?
You should head down to Florida in the winter time.
That is what my wife and I are talking about recently.
For us (rather than dreaming of buying a home in say Austrailia ... the total opposite hemisphere) maybe a retirement home in a warm climate where the bonus is that we can drive the MB to rather than fly.
Do you find yourself yearning for the R230? That would be a mater of economic reality for most.
I know that I do ... only after following MB for about two years ... and owning my first SL for 14 months.
