1996 red SL500
96 SL500: convert soft top to manual?
I have leaky cylinders, and thought, "What if it were manual?"
How difficult or possible would it be to convert the top to a manual process?
Has anyone done it? Just something I thought might be possible, and I couldn't find a thread on it.
I don't want to take the whole system apart, but would like to have less resistance when lifting and lowering. I don't mind doing the latching part. It's pretty straight forward.
